Semax

Semax is an investigational synthetic heptapeptide developed as a nasal spray or injectable candidate. It is a synthetic analogue of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH 4-10). It is being researched for potential nootropic effects (improved cognition, memory, attention, and learning), neuroprotective properties (including in stroke or ischemia models), and possible mood or stress support. As of 2026, Semax remains unapproved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for general use and is primarily available for research purposes.
